Previously, he served as the executive director of CBF’s PA office for almost eight years.Campbell is known for his innovative efforts, including passing legislation to establishing the Keystone Tree Fund, and creating the Agricultural Conservation Assistance Program. And guiding the successful effort to designate the eastern hellbender as the state amphibian. He also conceived the Keystone 10 Million Trees Partnership, aiming to plant 10 million native trees in PA. Under his leadership, CBF’s PA office saw substantial growth in strategic partnerships.In his current role, Campbell bridges science and policy, integrating technical information into projects and legislative priorities. He leads CBF’s Renewal Project team, which has transformed watershed resiliency planning and secured substantial federal funding.Dubbed the “Jimmy Fallon of conservation” for his engaging communication style, Campbell is a frequent lecturer, panelist, and documentary participant. He serves on several advisory boards and committees, including the PA Science and Technology Policy Program Advisory Board and the PA Department of Environmental Protection’s Water Resources Advisory Committee.Before joining CBF, Campbell held technical roles in various sectors, focusing on stream bioassessments, watershed planning, and ecotoxicological studies.
