I fill many necessary roles at a multi-purpose business that offers bowling, food, beverages, and an arcade. I have experience with the POS system from my experience as a host. I developed outstanding communication skills and can handle stressful situations when a problem arises or someone is misinformed and seeks an explanation. I further honed those communication skills as well as time management skills by balancing my time at the host stand with communicating with servers about tables I have sat people at and ensuring they can handle their number of customers. I grew careful organization skills while running food to customers, ensuring that I checked off each specific request they made for their food to deliver an unforgettable meal. As a busser, I learned to work efficiently and quickly. Whenever I wasn't surveying tables to clean, I was offering a hand to our bartender-putting away glasses for them or pouring beers. I also chatted with customers and asked them how their experience has been so far. When I work in the arcade my patience is put to the test. Over several years of dealing with indecisive kids I have gained immense patience. I've learned that it's best to enjoy each reaction the customers make when talking about their prizes they want, rather than being fed up with the amount of time they're taking to make a decision. I started this job as a frightened fifteen year-old and flourished into a socially confident, helpful, and driven person.
