In my role, I interpret, manage, and apply hospital and CBA policies in labor relation matters; lead negotiator of labor negotiations and CBA activities; manage the resolution of grievances and disciplinary matters; Subject Matter Expert involving CBA and union contract interpretation and application; provide Human Resource support to other hospital departments, management, government agencies, and unionized labor organizations; conduct complex employee investigations related to policy and procedure violations, hospital safety practices and procedures, patient rights, infection control violations, civil matters, and criminal violations; prepare fact-finding reports; develop and issue written discipline; manage FMLA, ADA, and unemployment claims; strong knowledge of HIPAA standards.

In my role, I managed a 12-person employee and labor relations investigation unit, with a strong focus on internal and external investigations involving criminal misconduct and company policy violations. I also implemented an expanded due diligence and compliance investigation program that accounted for hundreds of background investigations involving team members and company-endorsed business relationships at both the property and corporate levels. This highly successful program resulted in a reduction in compliance-related risks and an increase in employee morale and retention.
