In this role, I was self-employed as a market analyst and trader. Most of my time was spent researching publicly traded companies on a technical and fundamental level, overall market trends, as well as diving deeper into promising companies that fit the bill for trade execution. To make such an enterprise profitable, it’s imperative to have strong analytical skills and a great deal of discipline in day-to-day actions. Filtering good information from bad is a skill that I honed early on and still serves me well to this day. I enjoyed developing and furthering the skills that made me successful in this endeavor. Market dynamics are very tricky and thus require solid study and constant learning. It was incredibly challenging and rewarding and gave me a valuable skill set for assessing financial strengths and weaknesses of various corporations in a very short amount of time.
