I have been privately tutoring children (K-8) in all subjects for the past two years. I also have ten years of experience as a nanny where I helped three children with homework, projects, and other various school-related tasks every day after school. I am currently a senior in the Elementary Education Program at the University of Michigan-Flint. I specialize in working with students who have a difficulty in staying focused and have problems with organizational skills. I believe that teaching should be made relevant to what the student is personally interested in and make it a point to get to know my students along with what hobbies and activities they enjoy. I use their interests and incorporate them into our tutoring sessions in order to bring real-world experience into their learning to help them with comprehension and retention.
