I joined PBS Multiplatform Marketing at an exciting time as the team was in mid-development to launch an asset management system called the Source. Starting as a temp to screen and publish promotional content, I eagerly took every opportunity to facilitate a successful launch. • Assisting and strategizing UX website designs• Creating and managing user testing• Facilitating cross-departmental education effortsSix months later, I was promoted to Senior Associate with team management responsibilities. As a collaborator, strategic thinker and organized leader, I developed a new FCC-driven editorial and workflow training program from scratch for vendors. Now utilized by all Source contributors today, the revamped training program empowers knowledge and accountability, with improved relationships between PBS, vendors and stations as a result. The Source quickly grew as the system standard for all promotional assets through the marketing efforts (and a bit of scrappiness) from our small team. As the communications arm, this offered me the unique opportunity to establish new communication channels for stations - including weekly newsletters, interdepartmental cross-posting opportunities, and building a thriving Facebook community consisting of marketing professionals representing over 150 PBS stations.

Both an educational program and internship, I've gained hands on experience in the ever-evolving field known as the music industry. This included invaluable skills in managing 2 artists within the program, as well as concert and event planning for the weekly "CMC Live" shows. Nearing the end of the semester, we launched a concert tour throughout the Midwest. This experience gave me the creative leverage to strategize a music tour marketing plan, conceptualize and direct video and radio promotions and compile publicity toolkits for colleges and universities within the Midwest region.
