Following a career break in late 2011 I returned to the UK in February 2012, when I quickly secured a temporary position with npower in Peterlee. The Position was HR Officer for an initial period of 3 months. I was quickly promoted to HR Advisor and my contract extended until August 2012. The position involves a significant level of relationship management with key stakeholders across the business. Within the business employee relations workloads are high, which means this is also a key part of my role. Another key responsibility is to manage any employment tribunal claims received by the business.
