Risk and Reward. The buzz words we always hear when trying to make a decision. In my personal life this decision may be mountain biking down Death Road in Bolivia. Risk: death. Reward: Adrenaline, exhilaration, beautiful scenery, and an experience of a lifetime! So how do we weigh up the risk and reward and make sure we get the balance right? How do we mitigate the risk and still get the reward?In my professional career, I help organisations to assess, manage and control their risks to achieve their mission and objectives. I am particularly passionate about helping clients in balancing risk and reward, including ensuring that appropriate controls are in place, and working effectively, to maximise the reward. Collaboration, consistent communication, and genuine personal connections is how I like to work with clients, as I believe that this achieves the best, fit-for-purpose, and sustainable outcome for an organisation.My ultimate goal is to ensure that I can advise clients to wear the elbow pads, prevent broken elbows when speeding down a mountain, and ensure that the full reward is achieved.
