I have been working with Internationally active businesses for 25 years, both in the UK and overseas, and have led complex cross-border audit and due diligence assignments. This has all come together in my current role, where I provide a key link for businesses between Baker Tilly in the UK and our International network, supporting businesses as they develop across borders and working with agencies such as UKTI to make business happen. My goals are to help businesses grow internationally by making it easier and less risky.

I am an experienced audit and advisory partner with 10 years’ experience in the education sector, as well as 9 years’ experience as Chair of Governors of a primary school. I bring a range of skills to the role of supporting FE colleges through their development and Academies through the trials and tribulations of conversion and realisation of their strive for improvement and growth. I have also spent many years advising colleges and corporates on mergers and financial reporting. My past work with corporate groups in management has also provided great insight into developing multi-site entities.

Connecting businesses across borders to promote growth and development

I was an audit partner working across a range of public and private sector clients, spending time in the Bimingham and Nottingham offices before leading the London office from 2007 to 2009. My role ceased on our merger with Tenon in December 2009 to form RSM Tenon, the 7th largest accounting and professional services group in the UK and the only such business listed on the UK Main List.

I worked for Coopers & Lybrand, which became PwC, in Birmingham, Derby, Nottingham and Brisbane over a great 15 years spent with good people learning a lot.
