I have worked for Varsity Brands in various capacities for over 30 years and I have a diverse history in education, sales, staffing, leadership and operations. I started as an seasonal summer instructor and eventually graduated to head instructor while managing a career as an elementary school teacher. When the time came to choose one or the other, Varsity created a space for me full-time in a territory sales position which I held for about 7 years in the apparel division. I then transitioned from selling apparel to the position of state director where I was responsible for continued relationship building and information gathering from cheerleading coaches in my territory in the summer camp space. It was my goal to create and modify current company camp offerings based on interactions and observations to grow the product and provide life-changing experiences to all attendees at our camps.In 2020 I stepped into (or rather jumped) into my current role of Staffing Director. I manage a staff of approximately 120 seasonal employees. My passion is to recruit, hire, train, mentor and manage employees who are fiercely loyal and devoted to not only our company but to the coaches and young people we serve.Additional skills include mindful leadership interactions, relationship-based sales, event management, speaking, motivating and designing programs and interactions that create success, loyalty and meaning.Strong community and social services professional with a Bachelor of Science (BS) focused in Elementary Education from Eastern New Mexico University.
