I volunteered for the RAF youth panel. During the summer of 2019, a team of five and I created an exhibition for the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air League. We sifted through archival material, wrote the information panels, and organized where everything would go in the exhibition room.

I worked for the Realities of War programme at the Museum. It is part of the infantry training course for British Army recruits. I delivered tours around the museum and education handling sessions, teaching the history of the battlefield through arms and armour. In each session, I had to get certain points across to the recruits, as they are quizzed at the end. Their performance in the quizzes shows they often retain the bulk of information and themes I convey. The program has also received a lot of positive feedback from the recruits detailing how much they have enjoyed the education sessions. Flexibility is the paramount skill in this job. Different regiments of the army have different interests and different skill sets, so I adapted my delivery to their needs. Additionally, often we pushed for time as the recruits could often arrive late. I frequently adapted the timing of my sessions, making sure I hit all the learning objectives to ensure the day ran smoothly.
