About Holly Tyroll

I am currently undertaking a PhD in neuroscience and computational modelling at Cardiff University.I have a keen interest in cognitive neuroscience, neurotechnology and machine learning, particularly from a mental health standpoint. In 2020 my first paper was published with Oxford Univeristy on young peoples' ethical perspectives on the applications of chatbot apps in psychological therapy.With the emerging applications of computational modelling and Deep Learning in brain research, I have moved to develop my programming skills and focus my research on the neuroscience-AI collaboration.I am excited about the potential for brain-computer interfaces and sensory substitution to advance medical neuroscience and help our society.
