Growing up San Antonio, Texas Holly graduated Magna Cum Lade from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Family & Consumer Sciences in Interior Design. Holly's portfolio has expanded to include boutique hospitality, retail, and luxury residential spaces. Furthermore, she is officially licensed by the CIDQ (Council for Interior Design Qualification), an industry benchmark for excellence in education and experience for designing interiors with regards to the health, safety and welfare of the public.Her expert’s eye for design is the product of over a decade’s worth of experience influenced by a passion for art and travel. Indeed, her work contains design inspiration collected from visiting New York, South Carolina, New Mexico and Canada with foreign accents derived from the trendy cities of New Zealand. Holly likes to take ideas one step further and challenges her clients to think beyond traditional standards of design. Along with high-end residential design, Holly has worked on a variety of projects for BDG including luxury high-rise condominiums, vacation homes, multi-family dwellings, private offices, and boutique retail stores. In 2011, recognition for these projects came when BDG took home eleven design awards from the ASID Legacy of Design Texas Chapter. Holly had the pleasure of being involved in the majority of these projects.Besides having a passion for design, Holly likes being a part of the social media marketing outlets and networking for BDG. She believes building good relationships with architects, builders, developers and fellow designers is imperative. It creates camaraderie which allows more effective collaboration. Holly is also very gregarious and especially enjoys meeting new clients and colleagues through non-traditional avenues. She is an allied member of AIA San Antonio as well as an active member of IIDA. She served on the committee of IIDA’s “Imagine That” fundraiser in 2006 and 2007 and volunteered for Artpace’s ”Chalk It Up” in 2010. Holly was also on the AIA Homes Tour committee in 2011, representing a sustainable residential project BDG worked on in collaboration with Lake Flato Architects. While Holly is ever aware of the most current trends in the design world, she does not subscribe to the belief that trendy design is equivalent to good design.
