    I joined Clio Associates in 2002 as an intern through the Praxis internship program at Smith College. Founder and President Donna Kenny brought me on to manage Clio's contribution to the Veterans History Project (Library of Congress). Over the course of that summer, through interviewing nearly twenty veterans who had served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, I learned more about the Pioneer Valley, the strength of the human spirit, and the art of listening than I ever could have anticipated. My experience at Clio was my introduction to the field of communications, video production (a passion and great love of mine), and also to the the notion that you can take what you enjoy, in this case for Donna the art of interviewing, and build a business and a career around it. I continued on as operations assistant after finishing my internship and worked with Donna over the next two years while finishing my degree at Smith. It was an integral part of my college experience, and one I am grateful for to this day.
