I was delighted to serve the lives of children and youth through the transforming and often life saving gifts of learning music. I had the pleasure of - experiencing remarkable musical performances by students across our country, - learning from young people about the value learning music has for them in their lives, and - meeting extraordinary music teachers, music advocates and leaders at many levels of our society who passionately care about music. Highlights MUSIC MONDAY (Canada’s nation-wide celebration of the power of music held annually on the first day of Monday; the only celebration that actively engages children and youth in schools and communities across the nation).
