About Katie Holmes
I free up time to spend time on things that matter. An innate process builder with an eagle eye for inefficiency, I see what is (and isn’t working) within event production in a snap. Holding the long view and the guideposts to get there with ease, I put the right people in the room to have the necessary conversations to execute events that push the envelope. I'm talking high-octane energy, event excellence and expansive earnings. And the ever-changing event (and entertainment) landscape? It calls for sure-footedness in data, process building and sticky value propositions. ✔︎It’s infusing local touches as the largest national running company to embed their marathon, from expo to race, as the signature event in the city. From supporting #VegasStrong to highlighting Nashville neighborhoods, I cultivate the most essential ingredient to any event – Relationships!✔︎It’s pivoting transformative in-person events to the virtual desktop on a dime. I spearheaded the re-imagining of new systems, processes and technologies for virtual events with the highest attendance and most revenue the personal development powerhouse, Tony Robbins, had seen in years! ✔︎It’s seeing things differently. Leveraging social media not just for marketing campaigns but for customer service.Let’s come out and say it. No one calls customer service anymore but calls out problems on social to meet their needs. I advocate for marketing teams to infuse client services within their arsenal for a seamless production with brand alignment, as exemplified in my marketing leadership at Tony Robbins. But it’s that sense of purpose – the mission-driven impact – for both the consumer and my team who drives me to the finish line. I take the utmost pride in not only rallying the right team but being collaboratively accountable together… to win!I know relationships are everything and I value a strong network. Vice President, Global Events
Recruited to the role, I create processes and systems to track event ROI and enhance the global event strategy. Overseeing a Senior Associate of Events and newly minted Enterprise Sales Events budget, I served as the event SME amongst marketers and senior leadership, including the Head of Growth, Chief Marketing Officer and business stakeholders. My first order of business? Create KPIs for what a successful event looks like and fold it into the marketing strategy. Working closely with the integrated team, I establish a streamlined process for easy event reporting to identify both participation level and investment. Using Monday.com and Salesforce, I cultivated transparency company-wide, enhanced cross-service collaboration and created systems that allowed us to analyze the type of events and levels of participation so we could better monitor where we were seeing the most ROI.And what did we find? 3.6% of all events account for 88.7% of confirmed revenue.Delineating event type, location and business unit for marketing-funded events, provided the global strategy roadmap going forward. Leaning into our tech-forward values, I also introduced QR code event registration, eliminating manual registration efforts, with a streamline process and introduction that went without a hitch for premier events with upwards of 350 attendees.
Event Marketing Consultant
Trying my hand as a freelancer, I converted past employer rapport into short-term contracts with the likes of Tony Robbins, Ironman and the McCourt Foundation. Assuming the role of strategic advisor and project manager, I spearheaded an inaugural affiliate marketing program, supported a best-selling book launch and provided vendor and staffing guidance for two marathons – Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego and Los Angeles Marathon.— 𝐈𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 // 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐜. Established and executed Tony Robbin’s first affiliate marketing program that leveraged social influencers within the corporate sales process. The results? I garnered six-figure sales across 13 affiliate partners in 3 months.— 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭-𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 // 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐜.Served as a project manager across 10-15 internal and external stakeholders for all media and promotional assets for Tony Robbin’s new book, Life Force. The book hit #1 on the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Amazon, USA Today and Publishers Weekly lists, replacing a previous 113-week NYT best seller.— 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤 ‘𝐧’ 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐞𝐠𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧 // 𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐌𝐀𝐍The right-hand, strategic partner to the race director, I provided onsite staff and consultative guidance as only someone who knew the ins and outs of the course and race day as only I could.— 𝐋𝐨𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧 // 𝐌𝐜𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧Spearheaded full rebrand for race signage, orchestrating vendor relations and negotiations. I created a detailed tracking and inventory process that cultivated 5-figure savings along with vendor recommendations for the future. And did I mention that this all occurred in 4 months?
Senior Event Marketing Manager
And then COVID hit. 👈🏼 Famous last words for any event producer. I not only survived but I was promoted to leadership, amidst a company RIF, to adapt our bread-and-butter live event model to a virtual context. Canceling one of Tony Robbins' largest events due to COVID allowed us to re-imagine an entirely new process for sales, event production and communication with the same transformative impact of his live events. We quickly learned new systems, terminology and processes to successfully execute the event, including online sales, which had never been done before. We met daily to understand logistics, worked closely with the production team to build a studio in weeks (!!) and implemented a comprehensive communication plan with new technologies to support company needs. We executed two virtual events from our fresh, new studio digs for over 25,000 participants! I was on the ground bridging the gap between the on-site studio team and our colleagues who were supporting virtually. Not only were these events successful … attendance skyrocketed by 54% for Unleash the Power Within event in 2020, and again by 30% in 2021…but saved the company during an unprecedented time WITH new opportunities for revenue 𝘢𝘯𝘥 global reach.
Event Marketing Manager
I understand what it takes to sell on stage. From 2,000 attendees to 22,000, I championed content within marketing and sales initiatives for 6 programs in the Tony Robbins portfolio. From the hook to prepping the facilitator, I honed in on each program’s value proposition, knowing it deep in my bones, to garner customer attention, dollars and longevity even after the event high.Boosting sales revenues marked my two-year tenure, achieving upwards of…✔︎ +36% revenue increases✔︎ Platinum partnerships by +47.9% and ✔︎ +.66% conversion rates YoY.
Race Director
Senior Event Manager
Hired as Event Manager during high company growth, doubling race portfolio within Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series in 9 months. Promoted annually to lead end-to-end event production across global marketing campaigns, sponsorship activations and creative teams for the largest and highest-grossing events (Nashville, Las Vegas, San Diego) in the series. Oversaw 5-7 coordinators while spearheading hiring and training for event team with Director of Events. Reported to VP of Events.✔︎ Re-created the largest marathon in 4 weeks, typically a 15-month process, reimagining the course, venue elements and runner experience with a heightened security plan after Las Vegas mass shooting 1.5 months prior. Maintained race registrations,~40K, in face of security concerns and race changes.✔︎ Achieved 29% registration increase with finish line venue change to downtown San Diego’s Waterfront Park.✔︎ Yielded 8-to-9-figures in economic impact, upwards of $239M, each race weekend for the host city.✔︎ Developed first events standard operating procedure in collaboration with the Director of Events; Shared regular event updates with senior leadership, including the CEO.✔︎ Fueled career advancement for 2 coordinators promoted to director-level with intentional mentorship.✔︎ Maintained role and promoted after Ironman M&A in 2017.
