Hello! I am a Junior undergraduate student at Endicott College studying for a B.S. in Biology and Biotechnology. My future goal is to apply for and get in to a Physician Assistant program after earning my bachelors degree. I have extensive experience working with people in my community, as I have worked at Market Basket for six years as a part-time employee, while also having my dental assistant license and being able to practice in the dental field for about three years. Previously, I did plan on becoming a dentist, but have since decided this wasn't the correct career for me. I do however enjoy the medical field and learning the physiology of the human body. Recently I started a role as a patient care technician at a local urgent care, and have enjoyed my time so far. Over this past summer, I shadowed an Orthopedic PA at a local hospital, and was instantly interested in learning more about the PA's role. I do intend on finding an internship or part-time job that will assist me in gaining more knowledge of the medical field and how medicine is continually advancing to help people throughout the community. Throughout high school and in to the beginning of my college career I have been a hardworking committed student. In high school, I graduated in the top 5% of my class and was awarded high honors for each year I attended. Throughout my two years of college I earned a 3.85 GPA and was awarded a spot on the Dean's list for each semester. As a member of the workforce, my hard work contributes to every job I have had or still have to this day. I am a quick thinker, effective communicator, and great multitasker. Some classes I have taken throughout my first two semester of college include World Disease, Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Holistic Approaches to Medicine, and Basic English and Spanish classes. I hope to find an internship or job that can best assist me in taking the next steps towards my future career, while I am also able to contribute to the workplace through my hard work and commitment.
