I am a current Master's of English student at CSU Fresno. I graduated from UC Irvine in June 2023 with a BA in English, a BA in Comparative Literature, and a minor in Creative Writing. I am aiming for a PhD in English with the hopes of becoming a professor, and I am open to any research and teaching opportunities within the humanities to gain more experience within the academic industry. My research interests are: Children’s Literature, Gothic Literature, Family Relationships in Literature, and Psychoanalysis. With my strong background in literary analysis and research, I am devoted to understanding human experiences and culture as it is represented in textual media, including literature, comics, social media, and more. As a Hmong-American woman, I value unheard voices and amplify them so that the rest of the world can hear their stories. I am an advocate for education and believe that writing and literature are a gateway to expressing individuality and success in academia and beyond.
