Traineeship at the European Central Bank, working in the Directorate General Economics, Price & Costs Division.

As part of the Locations Department, my role involved planning and prepping locations for the shooting crew and cast.

From July, I took on additional responsibilities beyond my regular storeroom duties. Specifically, I worked in the Laboratory as a Pre-Analyst dealing with live Covid-19 samples. This involved handling and processing the test samples, as well as inputting data into a HSE system.

This role involved liaising with internal Molecular, Pathology, and Microbiology laboratories to maintain appropriate medical and chemical stock levels. I was in constant contact with various department heads to ensure that the storeroom was properly managed. I had the opportunity to apply techniques I studied in college, such as linear programming, to predict demand for certain items with short expiries. During the college term, I completed my online lectures and assignments in the evenings after work.

As part of the Locations Department, my role involved planning and prepping locations for the shooting crew and cast. The Last Duel was filmed in Ardmore Studios, Co. Wicklow; Bective Abbey, Co. Meath; Cahir Castle, Co. Tipperary; and various other locations across Dublin/Wicklow. As one of the largest film shoots ever in Ireland, this was a fantastic project to be involved in.
