During two months following the departure of the previous manager, I took over the responsibilities, re-organized the work with new methods and a better communication in the company, and closed the projects that had to be closed. After one month of decision making and one month of implementation of the new system, everybody (team members and hierarchy) was happy with the new situation. I then decided to give the position to another member of the team who could not manage such transition but who wanted the position and is destined to be a good manager.

As a co-founder, I do everything the baby needs to grow.As an engineering director, I am making sur we are developing a good product for consumers at an affordable price.

- Operational management of the range of product Elveflow (lab-bench equipment dedicated to microfluidics)- Defining the range strategy : I have taken part to the market analysis with the marketing and the hierarchy in order to define the product to develop and their specifications- Products development : I have managed a team of 4 persons, organized tasks and made critical choices on both hardware and software. Regular reporting was made to hierarchy.- Products industrialization : I have discussed with providers and asked for quotes in order to transform prototypes into producible products. I have defined and developed post-production tests.- After-sale : Throughout after-sale service, I have been in direct contact with clients. This enabled me understanding the issues of our products, the expectation of our clients and the global needs of the market.

- I have developed a Graphic User Interface that controls every instrument of the range of product.- I have developed and designed the different products of the range using the CAD software SolidWorks.- I have developed, tested and validated the different prototypes.- I have been in charge of after-sale service.- Through punctual actions, I have been in support of the commercial and marketing parts : expertise in microfluidics in exhibitions and demonstrations, realization of "proof of concept" in microfluidics for clients, development of commercial tools such as webpages, application notes, user-guides and data-sheets.

During this 3 year project in an academic research laboratory, I have developed competences in project management and partnership establishment. It involved task planning, reports writing, presenting results in conferences and organizing multi-disciplinary meetings.I have also developed various technical skills : Clean-room micro-fabrication, microscopies (fluorescence, SEM, TEM, AFM), biochemistry, biophysics (UV, EPR, CD, IR, fluorescence), electrochemistry.

Study of a microfluidic agitation system based on electro-osmosis (electrokinetic phenomena). Fluid flows were experimentaly characterized and compared to computational modeling.

Study of a disk rotating centrifuge for laboratory research : fluid flows calculations and mechanical conception.
