This is the first time I've received a Climate Vulnerable Forum Youth Fellowship from Bangladesh. First of all, I thank Allah for this companionship. This fellowship is an achievement of my life. Through this fellowship, I got the opportunity to represent my country by participating in COP27 at the local level in Bangladesh. I believe this fellowship will give me many opportunities to work on climate change. The man behind this fellowship was Dr. Saleemul Haq Sir, Chief Executive of Youthnet for Justice Sohanur Rahman. Finally, I would like to mention my mother, without whose prayers not a single day would have passed.

Responsibility: ● Helping YDP in developing policy and strategy for VBD.● Supervising National Board, Divisional Boards and District Committee;● Monitoring and evaluation of National Board members.● Helping VBD in fundraising and advocacy;● Serving as the spokesperson of Volunteer for Bangladesh to media and stakeholders.● Ensuring that VBD activities are carried out in accordance with the bylaws.● Represent VBD at different levels.

I joined Active Citizen in 2020 through Active Citizen Youth Leadership Training. From this training, I was trained on various topics. After the training, we have to work on the climate issue. We are tasked with creating a climate-green corner in the community to make people aware. I am now working on climate in my community and creating Green Corners in climate in various schools, colleges, and offices.

I go door to door in vulnerable communities, talking to elderly people, families living in slums, and those without access to a mobile phone or internet – resources that are essential for people hoping to register with the online COVID-19 vaccination platform. Volunteers also share information with people afraid to get vaccinated, or those who simply don’t know much about COVID-19
