Howard Ecker & Company has over forty years of experience representing tenants internationally. I started my career in commercial real estate working for Cushman & Wakefield as the original leasing agent for the John Hancock Center prior to its completion. After leaving Cushman & Wakefield, I joined Arthur Rubloff & Company, where I became the head of the office leasing department, the youngest member of their Board of direcots, and in 1975, the year that I left Rubloff, I was their largest producer. During my tenure at Arthur Rubloff, I worked on various major projects, key examples being the development and leasing of the Time Life building, Commerce Plaza in Oak Brook, and First National Bank of Dayton.In 1975, I founded Howard Ecker + Company, which was the first company in Chicago devoted exclusively to representing tenants. In 1996, the company was merged with Jupiter Realty Corporation to create Jupiter Realty Services. Today, Howard Ecker + Company operates as a separate entity with its partner J.L. Woode.I was a member, served on the Board of Directors, and was the founding President of the Chicago Office Leasing Brokers Association, an association composed of the top office leasing brokers in the Chicago Metropolitan Area.
