I currently have a global role that provides Airworthiness & Certification leadership across a number of diverse product streams located at numerous geographical locations within the UK & US.• Provide strategic leadership for department vision and define department goals and objectives • Provide leadership and technical direction for assigned organizational responsibilities, programs, and personnel• Ensure development of aviation equipment complies with applicable regulation and associated guidance material• Oversee appropriate certification basis of programs and provides support to develop compliance plans• Ensure appropriate resource for the interpretation of regulatory material to program staff• Promote technical excellence within own section and support groups through design / technical review participation, lessons learned awareness and application, and technical innovation / growth fostering • Establish and maintain relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved• Establish / modify / monitor overall engineering program requirements, timing, and resources of own section and support groups to meet / exceed business objectives and goals• Effectively communicate technical and financial aspects of section activities vertically and horizontally in the organization• Ensure positive actions are taken to encourage growth, technical development, and improved interpersonal skills• Promote initiatives to continuously improve the responsiveness of the section / organization to customer/business needs• Define compliance initiatives and training requirements for the department
