Director / Co-owner of Specialist Payroll Ltd.Jointly created company to become a Sage Business Partner with focus strictly on the payroll market. Successfully gathered 120 customers within the first three years in business. Office was set up directly across from Sage in Citywest Business Park in order to deal closely with Sage. The direction for the company was to establish a “One Stop Shop” for payroll. Aside from selling Sage’s software, we also established a list of services including payroll cover, end of year assistance and payroll bureau. Payroll business is very seasonal and at tax year end, up to 9 people were employed. Personally achieved Sage Business Partner Sales awards for the years 2005, 2006 and 2007.All staff were trained to use Sage’s Act! CRM software for monitoring our sales opportunities, campaigns and support correspondence with clients. In recent years the payroll software side had dropped off and so emphasis was put on the services and consumables side. Personally, I put time into developing our database and became fully accredited to sell and maintain Sage’s Act! Software. Over the last two years I have been successful in identifying solutions for up to 40 different sites. All sites were implemented and trained by me. Requirements varied from membership databases up to the management of sales teams.
