Prior to founding B-Stock Solutions, I worked at eBay for 6 1/2 years where I started and ran the company’s Private Marketplace business. Most of the team and I left eBay in 2008 and took this business with us to form B-Stock Solutions. This B2B business unit helped Fortune 1000 retailers and manufacturers, like Walmart and HP, with the liquidation of excess, returned, and refurbished inventory in bulk lots (truckloads or pallets) by creating and managing customized, private-label auction marketplaces. We also power B2C auctions for major retailers like Sam's Club.Prior to starting the Private Marketplace business, I worked in business development for eBay Motors, which was eBay's largest and fastest growing category at that time. Prior to joining eBay, I was founder and CEO of an early player in the user-generated online video content space. The company was streaming a library of independent films via the web and we ultimately sold the company to Hollywood Media (NASDAQ: "HOLL"). Before becoming an entrepreneur, I spent nearly 6 years as a venture capitalist investing in branded product manufacturers, business services, retail, restaurants, and e-commerce companies. I also spent two years as an investment banker with the Blackstone Group. I hold dual degrees with honors in Economics from The University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School of Business and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
