With first-hand experience managing over 50 communities and serving on the boards of numerous associations, I have expertise not only interpreting and explaining the fine points of association documents on behalf owners, but also mediating between owners and a sometimes contentious or intrusive association board. I am a licensed realtor. Although I and my company, Condo-Coop-Coach, are never involved in a real estate transaction either as a buyer’s or seller’s agent, my license provides me with a unique authority and understanding when working with owners and soon-to-be owners of a condo or co-op. In addition to my work with buyers, sellers, owners, residents and their governing boards, I also teach continuing education courses to attorneys, accountants, and licensed realtors. I have served the Nassau District Court as an “expert witness” shedding light on matters of responsibility. I am known as “the go-to expert” for communities and am well-versed in settling matters between owners and boards. I have even been instrumental in obtaining bank loans for large projects to minimize burdensome assessments that would put the squeeze on the wallets of some homeowners.Whether for a board or for a homeowner, I am ready to service you in multiple capacities including reviewing, interpreting and explaining the intent of the association documents with the aim of avoiding disputes.ON THE BOARD AND MANAGEMENT side of condos and co-ops, my coaching has served many communities by providing strategies for running monthly and annual meetings, helping boards function more efficiently, and reducing the need for lengthy monthly board meetings while simultaneously providing for better communication with homeowners.
