• Planned and implemented a recruitment and leadership development strategy that recruited over 300 student interns and leaders at UC Davis to work on civic engagement campaigns, including a campus voter registration and outreach campaign that helped over 3,300 young people register to vote for the 2008 elections and appeared in 16 local, state and national media stories. • Developed and ran an internship program to train over 100 young leaders on the core skills and competencies needed to run grassroots campaigns each term, built a leadership pipeline to develop volunteers, and recruited 4 seniors to become full-time organizers after graduation. • Coordinated with senior staff and student leaders to execute a spring break media tour to build support for California’s proposed High-Speed Rail system that included 50 student volunteers and held 11 press conferences in 11 cities in 5 days.
