I grew up on the lower east side of Manhattan, NY in a six-story tenement house. My mother, a single mom, worked hard to raise me without any assistance. Her hard work and determination to succeed was a key factor that helped me become who I am today.My work career began by delivering fruits, vegetables and meats for the local grocer on my street. I got 15-cents per delivery plus tips. If I received a 25-cent tip, it would be a “Big Deal”. I would always go the extra mile and I continue to do so, as my clients deserve it. When I was sixteen, I studied the Martial Arts. The Arts taught me to focus on the people who are in front of me with a great deal of intensity. I learned to look for the holes in other people’s defenses. I continue to use this approach in my business to focus on my clients and look for their vulnerabilities in order to plug the holes.In High School I played football, Ottawa University later recruited me and I moved to KS. After college, I worked various jobs and then in 1973, I met a man who later recruited me into the Life Insurance business. Most young men dream of becoming an Astronaut, Fireman or a famous Movie Star.The last thing that I wanted to do was sell Life Insurance. The man who recruited me said, “We help people if they are disabled, when they retire, and when they die we help their families to become financially stable”. The facts surrounding life insurance and what it does for others, really hit my hot button, it truly can be a remarkable product. Today after 42-years, I am more passionate than ever about what I do. I feel honored to have many clients that consider me their most trusted advisor.My passion to help people extends way beyond my profession; I also enjoy helping others by connecting them to my ever-growing network. My ability to positively affect the individuals I come into contact with by introducing them to those who can help to enrich their lives, is what I believe is my jewel. This is my gift to others.
