Recent examples include:* reducing costs involved in encrypting S3 bucket objects by applying a simple configuration change to bucket configurations. the changes has since been gradually rolled out to our AWS account, realising roughly 10k in annual cost savings* Organising Friday online team games now-and-then to encourage team mates to get to know each other better* socialising the benefits of adopting AWS Chatbot for systems notifications. This could potentially reduce the effort in maintaining our current notification setup.

Joined a recently formed team, with a mission to transform a well known property site into Australia’s prime property research destination.- made substantial headway in 2022 on laying foundational infrastructure to: - procure a multitude of different data sets of value to property research: - public property listings data from a multitude of online sources - school and urban planning zone data from various state government data portals - storing procured data in Google BigQuery - process and aggregate the data via a series of ETL pipelines, using internal tooling based on Apache Airflow framework, then - publish the distilled datasets to a Postgresql database, behind an internal GraphQL endpoint, to serve various frontend services.- Maintain and grow the operational capacity and efficiency of the team - achieved year-on-year improvements to our systems health, by ensuring timely bug fixes and critical system updates - participate in business hours oncall rotation; ensured our systems monitoring and alerting are effective, while mitigating alert fatigue - build, maintain and improve data engineering operations and pipelines to meet business demandsThe transformational work done by my team to date has helped to make the site the #3 property research site for the Australian property market

Achieved using a combination of Expect, bash scripting and public key-based authentication.
