In my current position I am in charge for all company-wide toxicological affairs and related product safety topics. I am supervising a team of three people and a couple of external consultant teams. Being a European Registered Toxicologist (ERT) I am working since more than ten years in the field of global regulatory affairs for chemicals, food contact materials and cosmetics. While risk and hazard assessments were in scope at the beginning of my career, additional topics such as alternative testing strategies and in silico methods came in focus. Since 2020, nano materials are a continuous topic along with Poorly Soluble, Low Toxicity substances and inhalation of nuisance dusts. For the near future, the European Green Deal will keep my team and me busy and provides both: regulatory challenges and chances for alternative testing methods as well. Since August 2022, I am chair of the Eurocolour Scientific Working Group and participant of ECETOC, CEFIC and EUPIA NIAS task forces.Areas of expertise include:* Leadership skills * Global Regulatory Affairs* alternative / non-animal testing strategies* Sensitive Applications* Nano Materials and PSLTs
