A one year consultation role to advise the machine printers in optimized operator’s performance on their 4 Cerutti rotogravure presses. This role further entailed the establishment of standard operating procedures for all stages in machine operation. Notable achievements involved the increasing of machine speeds in some cases by 40% and the reduction of waste by 4% on their largest press.

Primarily responsible for the commissioning and training of Russian printers for the production ready performance of 2 new Windmoller & Holscher rotogravure print machines. The position duties included ensuring maximum machine performance and efficiencies whilst adhering to all health and safety standards within the print department, the development of all SOPs within the section, the collection/evaluation and review of all production KPIs/data with department staff for future improvement (waste, downtime and production) and the co-ordination and staff scheduling of all personnel (40 people including shift managers).Supplementary roles included managing a specialized team set-up to conduct a detailed monitor of production waste and co-ordination of all continuous improvement projects within the print department. Initial 4 year training period involving 2 years at technical college (graduated 3/26 candidates) then 2 years practical training culminating in the satisfactory and sustained operation of a 6 colour flexography press and leadership (8 months) of a cylinder preparation crew within the rotogravure department. Transferred to an 8 colour Schiavi press where after 3 years became chief operator.
