Bidisciplinary PhD within the frame of an international cotutelle agreement at Université Rennes 2 (UMR 6590 ESO CNRS / co-supervised by Vincent Gouëset and Florent Demoraes in geography) and Universidad de Los Andes (Facultad de Ingeniería / supervised by Luis Angel Guzman in engineering). Research Topic : Which possibilities of evolution towards a more sustainable mobility in Bogotá and Lima?The PhD aims at understanding how changes in urban mobility habits may improve sustainable mobility indicators in Bogotá and Lima. The research is carried out both at the metropolitan and the infra-urban levels. The three specific goals are the following:1. Methodological and theorical goal: we will produce an air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions model designed for Latin American cities, more precisely Bogotá and Lima.2. Social and place-based goal: we will gather information about mobility habits in Bogotá and Lima and their possibilities of evolution in a well-being and environmental footprint reduction approach.3. Decision-making support goal: finally, we will use the tools developped in Goals 1 and 2 to evaluate sustainable mobility, air quality and climate change mitigation public policies, such as the Climate Action Plan Bogotá 2020-2050 or the Local Climate Change Plan Lima 2021.

Weekly follow-up with the counterpart, meeting organization, logistics of quarterly field visits, advice on technical reports, contract management, socio-environmental safeguard policies.
