Bidisciplinary PhD within the frame of an international cotutelle agreement at Université Rennes 2 (UMR 6590 ESO CNRS / co-supervised by Vincent Gouëset and Florent Demoraes in geography) and Universidad de Los Andes (Facultad de Ingeniería / supervised by Luis Angel Guzman in engineering). Research Topic : Which possibilities of evolution towards a more sustainable mobility in Bogotá and Lima?The PhD aims at understanding how changes in urban mobility habits may improve sustainable mobility indicators in Bogotá and Lima. The research is carried out both at the metropolitan and the infra-urban levels. The three specific goals are the following:1. Methodological and theorical goal: we will produce an air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions model designed for Latin American cities, more precisely Bogotá and Lima.2. Social and place-based goal: we will gather information about mobility habits in Bogotá and Lima and their possibilities of evolution in a well-being and environmental footprint reduction approach.3. Decision-making support goal: finally, we will use the tools developped in Goals 1 and 2 to evaluate sustainable mobility, air quality and climate change mitigation public policies, such as the Climate Action Plan Bogotá 2020-2050 or the Local Climate Change Plan Lima 2021.

6-months research internship at Université Rennes 2, Laboratoire ESO, ANR MODURAL.The MODURAL project is a research programme with funding from the French National Agency for Research to study sustainable urban mobility in developing countries.I carry out the following activities:-designing of an animated cartogram (distorted map) of Bogotá to show the daily commutes using R : https://github.com/ESO-Rennes/Animated-Cartograms.-assessment of the environmental impact of public transport in Bogotá and Lima.-research on the current transport policies and governance in Bogotá and Lima.

Transport Consultant for the Bolivia Transport Practice.Technical Assistance to La Paz Bus : lead of an investigation work to assess the effects of the March-May 2020 lockdown on cycling as a means of transportation in the La Paz-El Alto Metropolitan Area. Design and carrying out of a survey among urban cyclists. Publication of an article on the World Bank Blogs website.Project Management of the Bank Transport Portfolio in Bolivia: improving of the Rurrenabaque Airport (Beni), development of the Bolivia Primary Road Network (San Buenaventura - Ixiamas road in La Paz and San José - San Ignacio road in Santa Cruz), rehabilitation / maintenance of the Santa Cruz - Trinidad national road, Capacity Building of the counterpart (Bolivia Road Administration). Weekly follow-up with the counterpart, meeting organization, logistics of quarterly field visits, advice on technical reports, contract management, socio-environmental safeguard policies.

1 month internship at the rolling-stock maintenance workshop of Villeneuve-Prairie, in the Paris-South East region of SNCF.Assistance to the Punctuality Analyst in the follow-up of the rolling-stock rotation on the site.
