I am currently in my second year at Dell Technologies as a Logistics Procurement PMO.For my first two years, I wore the hat of Dell's sole US Parcel Carrier Manager. I have been fortunate to experience an extremely tactical role within operations, while being a part of some extensive projects across all functions of Global Operations. Over the last two years, I have been required to put on many different hats for this role. Most importantly, I manage the operational relationship and performance of Dell’s US outbound parcel providers. Secondly, this role has allowed me to managed direct parcel, inbound operations into the US from our ODMs. I have also had the opportunity to manage Dell’s transportation mode governance leakage for the last 18 months. The biggest challenges, and greatest learning experiences, that I have taken from this role have also pushed me to grow the most. From onboarding, new carriers, to planning for a UPS strike, to solely planning US parcel peak season, etc., I have learned that having a growth mindset and not being afraid to fail are the key to successful professional development.I have also developed the opportunity to take a leadership (and participatory) role in a new and expanding new-hire rotational program, the Supply Chain Immersion Program (SCIP). SCIP allows for new-hires out of college to take a 3-year deep dive into a specific function of Global Operations with two 18-month rotations within that function. With additional trainings, speakers, mentors, and development opportunities, SCIP has continued to develop my knowledge of Dell’s Global Operations while I become a subject matter expert in my field
