Bill Hudson has spent a career in association management, specializing in food industry development and distribution, and travel and tourism. Currently he serves as CEO of Hudson Global Strategies guiding and advising associations, companies, governments and individuals through leadership consulting, executive recruitment, board development, executive transition, staff development and more.Following a 32-year career as CEO of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA), Hudson founded, and serves as CEO, of Hudson Global Strategies. Through this enterprise Hudson is Senior Advisor with Heidrick & Struggles, the global leadership and executive recruitment company. He also serves as Strategic Advisor to UDig, a Richmond based business solutions and technology company. Hudson has also served a global food distribution company in developing a business strategy and food facility. Mr. Hudson’s experience, training and expertise, is in the development, management and growth of associations both nationally and internationally. He is well versed in identifying, understanding and addressing international opportunities, staff development, succession planning, culture shaping and more. Hudson has lead industry delegations and lectured and consulted with countries and companies around the world. In recognition of his service to the Global Cold Chain Alliance and World Food Logistics Organization, a development foundation was established in his name; Hudson Global Development Fund.Mr. Hudson holds BA and Law degrees from Louisiana State University and has served as a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Washington, DC Bar Association. Among numerous business affiliations, Mr. Hudson has served as a member of the board of the American Society of Association Executives where he also chaired the International Section. He was the founding chairman of the Foundation for International Meetings and the US Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100. Hudson was named as one of the “top 50 trade association leaders” by Washingtonian magazine.
