I am a Chartered Geologist by training with extensive experience in a consultant role.I am based within the Ground Engineering and Environmental team and support the Coventry, Derby and Bristol offices to deliver the ground engineering and geo-environmental services for the Midlands and South West regions as well as coordinating multi-disciplinary projects. I am experienced in the following areas:Preparation and coordination of planning support documentsContribution to Environmental Impact StatementPhase 1 Desk Study / Preliminary Contamination AssessmentsPhase 2 Ground investigation and recommendationsGround investigation coordination and reportingFoundation appraisal and recommendationsRecommendations for remediation of contaminated landSupervision of earthworks and ground engineeringMy experience includes coordinating the compilation of planning support documents including air quality, acoustic / noise surveys, protected species and habitat surveys as well as ground condition and contaminated land surveys. A number of these are generally required in support of planning applications or as part of an Environmental Statement as part of an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).I assist in the planning and coordination of larger projects as well as managing the production of risk assessments and reports.I undertake business development and marketing for the Bristol, Coventry and Derby offices. I have been involved with networking groups in the Birmingham and Black Country for over 10 years and am vice chair for the Forum for the Built Environment in Birmingham.
