Looking after the finance team and reporting to the Group CEO, I am responsible for all aspects of finance for the Group including the production of monthly management accounts and management information, statutory accounts and audit, corporation tax affairs, VAT affairs, company secretarial matters, regulatory reporting, budgeting and forecasting, treasury management, payroll and payroll taxes together with various other finance, corporate finance, legal and HR responsibilities.

At HCW I gained invaluable experience in many areas of accountancy such as personal and corporate taxation, indirect taxation, corporate finance, audit and accounts preparation. I also benefitted from exposure to a number of industries and sectors including financial services, IT, manufacturing and professional services.My main area of specialism was the preparation of accounts for - and the auditing of - solicitors and this was further enhanced by being seconded to a leading firm of solicitors in the region for an extended period.
