I've been working in tourism for 20 years and after restarting my Integrated Masters in Computer Science (Nova School of Science and Technology), which I'm finishing next year, I'm making a transition into the IT industry. Although successful in my previous career, I've realised it was the right time to change and look for new opportunities.I'm passionate about computer programming and information technologies but I kept it as a hobby until recently. I've used computer programming since I was 15 which in time gave me the ability to develop small programs and scripts in different languages for my personal problems.I like reversing engineering and to fully grasp how things work, which led me to areas from assembly to internet security.From my tourism industry background I'm bringing strong customer care values, great teamwork, good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, responsibility, the ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.I’m skilled at building new relationships and I’m known for my ability to mediate disagreements. I thrive on helping others.While I'm an enthusiastic person and passionate about new technologies, I’m also very curious-driven, and always looking to improve my abilities.I'm open to learning new subjects, technologies and programming languages and apply the fine synergy between my vast tourism industry experience, my long IT background and my fresh university career.
