With a diverse trajectory and a solid background in Biology and Occupational Therapy (currently studying), I have immersed myself in the world of dance from an early age. My artistic life began in Belo Horizonte - MG, where I was part of dance companies, exploring various Brazilian cities and different countries around the world. I have come to understand various mechanisms of cultural expression through movement in popular dances that manifest differently in each locality. In addition to my work as a dancer and artist, I am also dedicated to research and education in the fields of dance and cognition. As a master's graduate in Dance from UFBA, I am always seeking new knowledge and perspectives to enrich my practice and share the art and benefits of movement with others. Recognizing these differences, I developed my master's research, drawing parallels between symbols I call Afrometáforas in the cities of Belo Horizonte and Salvador, acknowledging the importance of the dialogue between scientific knowledge and popular wisdom. I believe in the transformative power of dance as a means of self-discovery, healing, and expression.
