At Intelon we are developing diagnostic devices that can measure in vivo bio-mechanical properties of the human eye. We use a Brillouin Scattering System (BOSS) to measure elastic properties of the cornea and lens of the eye. By doing so we can infer, in a non invasive manner, different bio-mechanical characteristics associated with certain pathologies such as cataract, presbyopia, corneal ectasia, keratoconus, among many others.
