Provided guidance and training to US federal prosecutors concerning the existence and effectiveness of compliance program that a company had in place at the time of the conduct giving rise to the prospect of criminal charges, and whether the corporation had taken meaningful remedial action, such as the implementation of new compliance measures to detect and prevent future wrongdoing. Helped prosecutors develop appropriate benchmarks for evaluating corporate compliance and remediation measures and communicating with stakeholders in setting those benchmarks. Relatedly, after a corporate resolution was reached, assisted prosecutors and independent monitors evaluate whether the implementation ofcompliance measures is effective and in keeping with the terms and purposes of any Fraud Section resolution.

Responsible for global management of anti-bribery and corruption (“ABC”) compliance, including assessing existing controls and establishing frameworks to identify, assess, manage, monitor, mitigate, and report ABC risks.

Oversaw internal investigations in the Asia Pacific Region, including supervision of Regional Compliance Directors. Participated and led compliance proactive reviews in Latin America, Middle East, Europe, and Asia. Worked closely with global senior business leaders in risk assessment, process enhancement, and tone-setting.

IP Litigation mangement in Eastern Europe and East Region of US 1997-2010. Compliance Officer for Microsoft Greater China Region (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan) 2008-2010.

Represented the United States in prosecuting federal criminal cases involving narcotics, terrorism, fraud, and other federal offenses.
