David is the General Counsel for the US Group as well as the Corporate Risk Manager for B.L. Harbert International. He oversees the legal undertakings for the US operational group of B.L. Harbert and acts as the global Risk Manager for the company’s domestic US and international operations. Before B.L. Harbert International, LLCDavid was the Chief Counsel for KBR's Canadian Operations, focusing on commercial contracting in the industrial engineering, module fabrication, and construction markets, including the power and utility segment, industrial pulp and paper business, chemical manufacturing, and advance manufacturing. Before KBRDavid was an associate attorney in the Birmingham office of Bradley Arant and a member of the Construction and Procurement Practice Group, as well as the Government Contracts Practice Group. Before Bradley ArantDavid has an undergraduate degree in Building Construction from Auburn University, a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from Samford University, and a Law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford. While at Auburn, he co-oped as a piping and plumbing helper on several large commercial construction projects around Atlanta. After graduation from Auburn, David worked for a Ivey Mechanical as a project coordinator and a piping and plumbing estimator. Throughout his tenure in the mechanical industry, he garnered significant technical experience related to general construction, as well as the mechanical industry.David’s graduate education included environmental management practice and methods related to hazardous materials, environmental forestry, and toxicology. He also authored a mini-thesis on green building and the values associated with this construction philosophy.
