In this role I was the single POC for managing IT hardware for over 300 users on site, as well as a data center. My responsibilities included servicing the Department of Defense in a contract capacity by managing IT assets throughout their life cycle - from receiving to disposal. All functions were performed according to Federal Government standards, including bi-annual audits with an above 98% rolling asset recovery rate. I achieved an ITIL Foundations certification upon request from my employer in only three weeks time, helping the company position for contract rebid. I also received 1st runner-up honors for company rookie of the year award for service standard excellence. During my time here I was able to build processes enabling me to receive and stage, or dispose of via recycling, in-bulk quantities of devices for a client device refresh of our site. I was also able to help accommodate a limited budget by re-purposing internal components of desktop devices as backups, enabling a segmented refresh across two fiscal quarters.
