In my  career as a technician,I have worked & have knowledge on plants and equipment such as but not limited to;CCDsBoilersFurnaces(ISA smelt,matte settling electric furnace, Pierce Smith Converters,anode furnaces, laboratory furnaces)Casting wheelsWater reticulation plantOxygen plantConveyor belt systemPress filtration systemsIn addition to these I also had the privilege of being part of the commissioning team for the first successfully commissioned ISA Convert plant in the world at Kansanshi mine PLC,smelter department in Zambia.Having experience in this field has given me more knowledge and confidence in a sense that I was going through trainings to enhance my knowledge and skills as a technician.The company, Instrument vendors, stakeholders and government took keen interest in insuring trainings in safety, environmental, healthy, technology and policy were undertaken to further the knowledge of employees which was another milestone for me.While in service at kansanshi mine PLC,the first two years served as an Instrumentation artisan assistant,due to my abilities and contributions to the team,I was promoted to technician and at the same time I acted in the role of supervisor,in his absence.As technician at the smelter department,I was responsible for the four(4) Pierce Smith Converters where matte is treated to molten copper before making copper anodes.In my service as the converters,I was responsible for but not limited to;✓plant equipment and Instrument maintenance✓attending to breakdowns and Instrument faults✓attending to/making PCRs and request for SCRs✓periodical shutdowns for the PSCs✓documenting and tracking of item schedules✓Reporting to immediate supervisor✓testing Instruments✓Troubleshooting✓Commissioning plants and Instruments ✓Wiring of Instruments to DCS✓ making and updating loop drawingsIn addition to these responsibilities,I have the knowledge on Siemens PCS7…Allen Bradley to use SCADA,HMI and PI for troubleshooting and Instrument inspections and operations.Also have the knowledge about fibre optic and splicing, ethernet networking,VSD,OTDR,profitrace, temperature calibrators, pressure calibrators etc
