Planning, designing, building, testing, and maintaining integrations and web services between enterprise systems to meet the needs of critical business processes for students, staff and faculty, as well as prospective students and the general public. Working with user departments to analyze specific needs, integrate appropriate software and web solutions, resolve problems, and configure applications to meet system and user needs. Developing scripts, APIs, web applications, and scheduled jobs to support system integrations and automation of otherwise manual and time-intensive processes. Supporting academic and administrative functions of the College of Charleston.

Administering an instance of Icinga2 (https://icinga.com/docs/icinga-2/latest/), an open-source distributed network monitoring application, for the purpose of monitoring network-enabled hosts/services that make up the College's IT infrastructure, from VMs hosting web applications to physical servers to wireless distribution switches. Responsible for researching, organizing, coding, and documenting for the Icinga2 test and production environments in collaboration with other members of IT for access management, firewall requests, VM creation for distributed infrastructure, getting new and existing resources included in the monitoring umbrella, and general guidance around efficiency and scalability of the application; developed a Dockerized Django application for the automated bulk creation and management of Icinga2 host objects (called simply "Icinga Host Manager"); managing a record of server responsibility to increase departmental knowledge of resource usage; integrated Microsoft Teams and Slack APIs for automated notifications about host/service status changes; using Ansible for playbook-driven mass config deployments across multiple servers (master, satellites, database) extending across test and production environments; built a Flask REST API-driven IcingaWeb2 module for automating mass migration of all relevant Icinga2/IcingaWeb2 test configuration to the production environment

Second member of the College’s 2-member Web team; managing many web applications/websites hosted on a series of on and off-prem servers for use by the College of Charleston community. Began as a temp immediately following graduation from the College; joined the web team to help with web support requests and began implementation of a distributed network monitoring application, Icinga2. Worked full-time as an hourly temp until being offered an official full-time position as Webmaster in December of 2019.

Building a scalable, Stripe-integrated web service allowing subscribers to easily, quickly generate on-the-fly AI-backed quizzes about anything they want (with GPT Completions API), from uploaded files, to Wikipedia Articles, to any random topic of their choice. Mission: help visitors master and understand what interests them, beyond simple memorization.

Simplicity in the front. AI in the back. Working with one other developer on creating a lightweight and intuitive digital textbook application that simplifies the complexities of other platforms and LMSs through the use of artificial intelligence. We want to create a tool that allows instructors and students to focus on what they care about -- teaching and learning -- not on figuring out how to use a complex tool.

- Working extensively with campus network documentation via the open source web application, Netbox- Becoming familiar with (through organizing/installing/replacing/configuring) various types of network hardware (wired/wireless switches, APC/TrippLite UPSes, fiber optic cables/boxes, ethernet cables, network racks, PDUs, and the undeniable importance of a handy dandy extractor bit)- Training new employees- Configuring NICs for newly installed UPSes- Writing a script for automatic mass-upgrades of network-enabled UPSes- Using Infoblox Grid Manager to manage and assign IP addresses to newly installed devices in accordance with a campus IP address scheme- Working efficiently in variable conditions, from well lit, air-conditioned data centers to dark, hot office attics

Invited by Prof. Amy Langville to work alongside IGARDS researchers in mathematics and data science pursuing the question of "rankability" over the summer of 2017 in Charleston. In short, we aimed to identify metrics that could be used to determine the capacity of a graph to support a meaningful ranking with the general theme of answering the question, “What makes data unrankable or rankable? When should you trust a ranking?" Research was presented to Tresata in Charlotte, NC
