Combat Medical Specialists provide both clinical and battlefield emergency response in any type of environment. In general, medics performed numerous duties to assist medical technicians and PAs in the various medical departments. They are responsible for evaluation and treatment of wounds and minor injuries. The Combat Medic's main objective during a combat setting is to get to the wounded as quickly as possible and move the causality away from the front lines and keep them alive long enough for them to reach a treatment facility in both a TCCC environment as well as Prolonged Casualty Care as directed by CoTCCC and JTS.
