Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District. -The nature and range of projects include new construction and rehabilitation of existing facilities with a workload in terms of $20-$50 million annual placement. -Review, analyze, summarize, recommend solutions for, and report on construction and engineering problems as they are assigned. -Serve as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) on multi-million dollar projects, responsible for construction quality assurance to include: monitoring the contractor’s performance during all phases of the construction contract; ensuring the final product adheres to the contract specifications; ensuring that all work is done in accordance to applicable laws and regulations; identifying, administering, and negotiating all construction contract modifications as they arise during construction.-Other regular duties include: reviewing and approving construction submittals, leading a team of construction QA representatives in field inspections, scrutinizing construction schedules, monitoring construction progress, and administering progress payments.

-Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to assist in commercial building site development planning and design to include the creation of: Concept/Land Development Plans, Demolition Plans, Utility Design Plans, Stormwater Design Plans, Erosion and Sediment Control Plans, Grading Plans, and Landscape Plans.-Utilize knowledge of the Virginia Stormwater Management Act and Regulations to create site specific Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP).
