- Led the interviewing, screening, and recruitment of new members for the composites team- Leading a team of 15 team members; trained them on all the different processes; assigned and scheduled hundreds of hours of tasks to each member to manufacture the composite parts for the car with the goal of increasing downforce while reducing weight and to meet the Michigan race deadline- Using the process of resin infusion and wet layups on carbon fiber and fiberglass to manufacture the hood, body panels, undertray, sidepods, wings, and seat for the car- CNCing high density foam to create the molds that carbon fiber materials are laid into to make the car parts- Participated in designing the car and the implications to the manufacturing processes and cost- Determined and ordered the supplies needed to manufacture carbon fiber parts while remaining within the team budget and schedule

- Worked 100’s of hours manufacturing the carbon fiber parts, including CNCing high density foam, making the fiber glass molds and resin infusing the carbon fiber parts in the molds- Learned how to use the CNC machine to make large complex 3D shaped parts- Built and assembled the aerodynamic parts of the car; traveled to Michigan International Speedway to participate in the yearly race/design competition
