Ever since I was a kid, I have loved three things: math, learning, and leadership. Through sports, clubs, Boy Scouts, and various other activities, I have been both a leader and a follower on countless occasions. I have spent much of my efforts learning how to become a better leader and how to effectively lead different groups of people. This is one of the ways I have developed a strong passion for learning and seeking knowledge. I believe it is important for leaders to be open-minded, accepting of differing opinions, and knowledgeable enough to help their peers and those they lead through various situations. After high school, I initially started college at Wake Technical Community College with the intention of becoming a mechanical engineer, however, after spending some time in the curriculum, I decided that I wanted to explore some other options. I chose to change my path towards a business and finance career to open my options to a field where I can utilize my leadership skills, while also exploring my passion for mathematics and analytics. That decision has led to me now being enrolled in the Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. After receiving my Bachelors, I intend to pursue a master’s degree through either an MBA or an MRA. I would love to work in a finance position where I am constantly facing new and unique problems which require me to think critically and outside the box to find the best solutions. Finance is also a field which has many opportunities to help others either improve their current situation or get them back on solid ground after hardship. My goal is to find a position where I can check all these boxes to feel fulfilled in my personal aspirations while offering whatever I can to improve the lives of others.
