I am a hard working and fast learning individual with a passion for the outdoors and fitness. I believe in being a positive influence in helping others cultivate a passion for health and wellness themselves. My mission is to work in a career field where I can help implement this passion efficiently and effectively.I am a recent college graduate from Campbell University, Spring Semester 2021. I graduated as a part of the Sport Management 4+1 MBA program, with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management and Master's in Business Administration. While at Campbell, I competed on the Men's Cross Country and Track & Field teams all 5 years. I had the honor of being the co-captain of the cross country team my final four years as well as being the Big South Representative for SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee) my Sophomore and Junior years. I also held several different work positions at Campbell: Lobby Attendant, Athletic Marketing Assistant, Academic Tutor, and Campus Recreation Graduate Assistant for Facilities and Marketing. While home for summer and winter breaks I spent my time working several part-time jobs: Century Farm Orchards, Omega Sports, and Paper Handling Solutions (PHS). After graduation in the spring, I spent the Fall Semester of 2021 attending NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School). This was a wonderful opportunity to learn leadership and teamwork skills in an outdoor setting. While learning skills, such as Wilderness First Aid, we spend time in the Southern Wind Range of Wyoming backpacking for three weeks. Other skills, such as water rescue and safety, we learned while on the Green River in Utah, white water rafting, kayaking and canoeing for another three weeks. Belaying and ropes safety skills were taught while we attended three weeks at Ibex and the House Range in Utah. Our final section, canyoneering, landed us in the Dirty Devil Region of Utah, learning desert survival and slot canyon travel skills. I had the honor of leading our two Independent Student Expedition sections on the Backpacking and Canyoneering sections where we traveled separate from our instructors for three days each.
