Field Engineer

Arizona, United States

While employed by Raba Kistner, I worked on three large freeway design-build projects for Arizona and Utah states in quality acceptance roles as part under the Independent Quality Firm (IQF) model. Hunter’s work experience began on the South Mountain Freeway project for the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and near the close of the project transferred to the Utah projects. In Utah I then worked on the Technology Corridor and the US89 projects for the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT). On these projects I performed a wide variety of engineering responsibilities. As a discipline lead for the Mechanically Stabilized Earth walls I performed duties including inspecting the construction phase. I observed, measured and conducted tests of materials to determine compliance with project plans, shop drawings and governing specifications. In this position I performed a mastery of reading and applying plans and specifications to the building process. My duties in this role included managing a team of inspectors to ensure that the needs of ADOT, the project, and the contractor were sufficiently met. Also during this project I performed as a Field Engineer and assistant segment manager. In this role I continued many of my discipline lead responsibilities while taking on more. The responsibilities added were focused on reviewing and accepting inspection and testing reports and managing IQF personnel segment wide. I continued to show proficiency in understanding plans specifications and the building process through the application of engineering principles, methods and techniques. As required I performed engineering calculations and demonstrated my ability to research and problem solve engineering related activities.

Warehouse Manager

Chandler, Az

Working for Origami Owl since its inception has provided me a lot of growth and a wealth of experience. As one of the first employees of Origami Owl I have been able to show my talents and abilities as it grew to a $300 Million company within 2 years. My experience with Origami Owl began on the floor level where I was part of the team that picked, packed and shipped orders directly to our customers. Having this experience I successfully rearranged the floor layout to maximize the productivity of order fulfillment. As business expanded and the warehouse being more productive as ever I moved to fill a role in inventory management. In this role I researched and analyzed product trends. Managed vendors as well as our online sales systems. As expansion was required the company moved the fulfillment operations into a new building and added warehouse staff. As this was needed I managed an evening fulfillment shift of 100+ personnel to meet business needs. As a part of this expansion I was tasked at implementing a Warehouse Management System to better organize or inventory and order management.A majority of my time with Origami Owl has been as a project manager and implementation specialist with regards to warehouse systems. In this role I led analyst and technical teams tasked with increasing productivity and decreasing costs per order fulfilled.Successfully managing projects previously stated led to me being selected for a team to bring a new department online. As a part of this team I assisted in the engineering and development of technical and robotic systems. These technical systems included the setup of databases and a user interface that operators would use on a daily basis. The robotic systems were designed to write a customers custom message on a product with a laser inscription. Since the kickoff of this department in early 2015 I have managed system enhancements and a specialized team that operates these systems on a daily basis.
